Question Medusa Worm/Cucumber

I just found one of these that came in as a hitchhiker. After doing some reading, I'm not sure if I should remove it or not. I don't have any overflow or powerhead intakes covered and don't really want my tank filled with cucumber toxin. Do you think the risk is too high or should I just leave it?

With unguarded pump intakes, it will be just a matter of time before the animal finds its way into them. A good many of the synaptids / cucumbers can do some serious damage to your system if they were to be killed in such a manner.
