should the return and drain plumbing be ok with 1 1/4" inch pvc?
I was at home depot today and I grabbed some 1 1/4 inch tubing to pluimb my drain from the overflow from the bulkhead. Will thistubing size be ok to use with the return plumbing or should the return plumbing be bigger then the drain plumbing?

Noramally I see that the return is smaller diameter than the drain as water is free flowing from drain and pressurized through the return. My drain is 1" and return is 1/2" both pvc schedule 40. 300GPH
Hope this Helps

It depends on the pump flow and type. 1.25" is fine for a fairly large pump. Most people use 3/4" or 1" for return lines.
