Nitrites

I have a 33 gallon. Seems like nitrites just love my tank, or love me. The tank has been setup since early February, and every week I check my nitrite and its at about .25. I have two chromis, and one hermit crab in this tank, and I have no idea why I always have nitrites in this tank. Anyone have any recommendations as to what I should do?

Thanks

What testkit are you using? Read the article below. Nitrite is not as detrimental to saltwater fish as freshwater. Anything below 1ppm there is little reason to be concerned. Too much to elaborate, all is in the article.

Have it checked by the LFS also to see that your kit is not bad.

Very interesting article, good to know that. And yes I am actually going to the LFS right now to have my water checked.

Thanks.

Randy recommends that you not test for NO2. In others words, NO2 is not a concern. I must admit that I still test.
