Rockin! Double checking plan...

55 tall. CPR overflow with aqualifter airpump. Mag 9.5 return with Eheim Aquaball Powerhead(found the mjmod minutes after ordering - so bummed). 10g sump with AquaC EV 120 Skimmer and sock filter. Beginning lighting is T12's 2x40 - will upgrade.

Next step is rock. Planning on:
1. 50lbs Fiji base rock from Marco Rocks, additional circulation supplmented by a Rio 1700 powerhead.
2. Once cycled I will add 40lbs or Aragonite and 20lbs of Live Sand from the bag.
3. Observe, add cleanup crew
4. Probably another 10-20lbs of live precured rock depending on how much room is left.
5. FOWLR until November, then new lights in a custom stand and look into some corals.

Decent plan? Any feedback appreciated!

Only flaw I can anticipate is no fuge, but I may add later. Still about 3-4 weeks out.

Why not put the sand in before the cycle? Just wondering what the logic is. I have always put the sand in for the cycle.

Read thru 70 pages today and many suggest that its easier to clean the stuff that dies off and seperates from the LR off the plain glass tank bottom than siphoning the sand.

Less effort and time scrubbing = happier fiance.

I use IO also. May want to think of way to keep calcium up to get good growth of coraline on rocks.
