What kind of coral are you keeping and what type of sand bed do you have, if any?

I'd say it's way too much for softies and lps then. If it was a dedicated sps tank, then yes. Why not go for the 6025? I have two of them in my 40g and it's perfect.

you can't get 6025 in North America anywhere right now. I have been trying for 2 months. All you can get is 6045's. And I looked at hydor koralia 2 or 3. You can't get those either. And they are too large pysically for a nano tank. It would look dumb.

I agree about the koralias. Go to the Tunze Forum and see if Roger has an ETA on the 6025's. They are worth the wait.

I think I am gonna go for a 6045 and just epoxy some of the corals down. Maybe ther is a way of slowing them down too.
I was just talkin to a guy who has softies in a 14Gallon tank with a 6045; no problems

You might get varying opinions on this, but with the 6045 you are up into to 40x range. I have 30x turnover in my 40g mixed reef (sps/lps/softies/polyps). Sometimes it's borderline with my candy canes, but the frogspawn and hammer love it. You might scare your softies with the 6045.

Ok, I posted at the exact same time as you on the last one. I guess it wouldn't hurt to try then. If it's too much for your tank you'll be able to get your money back, seeing that the demand for them is crazy right now.

Ahh, you didn't mention that now did ya! I'm going to do the same with my 6025's. I'm upgrading to a 180 soon and will have two 6100s with the controller. I'm going to throw the 6025s in with them, or put one in the fuge. Sounds like a win-win situation for you then.

Got a 6025 modded @ 1200gph and had a hard time findin a good spot in my 36" 50G witout getting sandshifting.

A 6045 in a 14G is hard to believe, that's 90x flow....
