firefish pair? or False perc Clown pair?
Im setting up a 12 gallon AP this week, and i am gonna be keeping either a pair of firefish or clowns, which do you think would be better?

I think clowns would be better....i might be wrong but i'm not sure if you can keep firefish together....dont they fight? thought i read that somewhere...

Firefish can be placed together. They are territorial so need to be introduced at the same time. If they were the ONLY fish in the tank, I would say maybe. If you can get an ORA Mated pair then I say go for it.

I would say that it all depends on what kind of a look you are going for. I have a clown and a firefish - they are completely opposite. The clown is very interactive and bright. The firefish is beautiful and elegant. I personally prefer the firefish, but my husband prefers the clown.

I have a firefish and a clown, I would almost say that they are buddies. They will wade in the water beside each other sometimes, though not really interacting.
Anyways, that's a little off topic. I think a clown pair would show more interaction than the firefish pair, I think that is what you are looking for.
