Unhappy stupid question....(maybe)

since i'm fairly new to the hobby i guess its not so bad to ask questions like the following. i was wondering if you could put two halide bulbs to one ballast?

most likely not but every ballast and bulb combo is different. make sure to check the specs before you purchase and wire.

Some ballasts are designed for two bulbs but they will specifically say so on it. If it is not a dual ballast then no. Each ballast and bulb are designed to work together so you cannot run a 175 w bulb in a 250w ballast or two 150 w bulbs in a 400w ballast etc.
