Mushrooms

Hoping someone can give me some advice. I have a 55 gallon tank that's been set up for 8 years, and, for the most part, it's fish only. I purchased some LR with attached mushrooms about 5 years back and they reproduced like crazy.

A few months back, I had a heater malfunction (it broke and I didn't notice the water temp drop to below 70 degrees - I don't know how long the water temp was that low). In any event, the mushrooms have shrunk down and are now almost transparent. They used to really bloom and I hope I haven't killed them.

My water parameters seem OK (salinity, nitrites, ph, etc.). Does anyone have any thoughts as to how I can get these creatures to flourish again?

Mushrooms are almost indestructable. They will come back, just need some time.

Just keep your water params stable and they should come back. Mushrooms are very resilient, ime, so they should make their return.

mshroom are like weed, if water parameters are good and given proper lighting they will come back in weeks but I do recommend you bring up the temperture very very slowly to avoid any possible shock, say maybe 1-2 degrees a day from 70.
