High flow fish ffor sps biotope?
I started up my twin 180s a month or so ago and began stocking green chromis, well they don't fare to well in the high flow setup. An OM 4way powered by a sequence 750..a bit more powerful than the dart, and a dart for the sump return. same set up on the 2nd 180 as well.
I was wondering what fish handel or thrive in the higher flow tanks?

Tangs of the Acanthurus genus (Achilles, PBT, etc.) LOVE high flow tanks.

Cool! Thanks for the ideas. I did consider some wrasses, but my system is barebottom, I was thinking they needed some substrate?
Ill look at some bartlets then for hardyness, and some of the above mentioned tangs. How do the zebrasomas hold up for example the purple tang?

Not all of the wrasses require sand as many of them are quite content to sleep in the rocks.

I had one for 7 years and gave it away to a buddy cause I move from State, I hear the fish is still alive this was over 11 years ago. I curentely have one for over 3 years, he has gone through a couple of tank crashes, in one of the crashes him and a Damsel were the only survivors. |
