Flow
I have a 25 tall (maybe 29?) I want to keep a little bit of everything, as I know my favorite corals. I know how to produce low flow toward the bottom of my tank for my sand dwellers, like open brains. I want to keep a few acros towards the top of the tank.
I'm running a Mag 5 from my sump, with a SCWD and new U-tubes in the mail. Would this be enough flow for acros? Or would the SCWD cut down on my head too much? I have 2 Mag 9.5's in storage, but they will be a major PITA to get to. Also does anyone know the appropriate size CPR overflow to handle a mag 9.5 in a setup like this? I am not big on powerheads and other ugly equipment crowding my tank. And I don't have time/energy/bits/money for drilling

With the SCWD I'm going to guess your going to get around 250-350 GPH. So I'm going to say you'll prob going to want more flow. It's possible to do a closed loop without drilling your tank so theres an option if you don't want to put the pH in the tank. I think it was Melves reef that had the design.

The SCWD made my flow real weak. Do you think a MAG 9.5 on the SCWD will be enough. GRRRR I hate powerheads.
