Metal halide ballast heat concerns???

I havent set up my MH yet but hav heard that the ballast/box can get extremely hot,

What measures should be taken to prevent it from burning or starting a fire? is it normal for a ballast to get very hot?

for magnetic, put a fan in the box if you can........for electrical ballast...I have computer heat sinks on them....(pretty big ones)...

and yes, they do get hot.....not sure about them getting hot enough to cumbust anything thou....
