Heater woes...

My heater (a Rena Cal Top Light 100W) sucks. It's scale is wildly inaccurate.

What's your favorite 100W heater?

My Rena Cal hasn't given me an ounce of trouble over the last year I've been using it.

IME, most heaters do not actually match the thermostat on them. It's best to monitor the correct level with a seperate thermometer.

Agreed, and I do have a separate thermometer in the tank. Right now it reads 78, and the heater is set to 68 and still clicks on every few minutes. during the day the tank temp climbs as high as 83, and the heater still clicks on occasionally.

I need a more reliable heater.
