my first fish food atempt! heheh my fish like it...

okay not sure if this is good, but i wanted to post my first atempt at making my own fish food... hahahah...

okay here goes!

started with:

shrimp - deheaded, peeled, deveined
cuttle fish - cleaned up mainly only white meaty stuff
baby clams - figured the meat is softer, hahahhaa...
frozen mysid shrimp - had some left over
unsalted seaweed - got alot of tangs
spectrum fish food pellets - just bit for a little kick? hahahaha...

i puree'd it up in my small chopper. and it came out like this...

very small so i tried to feed it to my fish... added some cylop-eeze...

they liked it but the pieces were still too big... i have fish between 2" to 3"... so i need them smaller... so i just wanted to puree alittle more... i put in alittle more nori, and then put it in a baggie to freeze... i put in half the portion so i can puree finer...

with the second portion, i put in alittle more nori, cause i thought it would be better to add like 1 more small sheet...

you can see the nori content... ahhaha, it isn't like i added a full box of it... just a bit more... i am going to try to feed them the new consistency in a few hours, i think they will like it... let me know what you guys think...

last notes...
*i tried to wash and drain as much water as possible... and feel like this will help with the freezing process, i figure the water will make it hard to break apart when i need it to.
*next time i will try to make the sandwich sheets alittle thinner, i think it would be easy to get small portions, since i have smaller fish...
*might want to add more things to the mix, veriety is good...
*goby didn't like the cuttle fish pieces as much, may need to take it out?
