Question what do you seal pvc together with?

title
i am redoing my sump and plumbing when i move and need something for when i do that i can seal my pvc plumbing with to prevent leaks. i found out the hard way that aquarium sealant doesn't do the job very well. definitely needs to be reefsafe. i have seen people use something that is purple, but i do not know what it is?

Here's a list of pvc solvents for glueing pvc. You can find all you need at your local Home Center though.

well for some people pvc glue is not enough you can also get a pvc primer which goes on first then you put the glue on. Just my thoughts
