Power heads moving sand around

I have 2 seio m1100s in my 70g display. They are mounted on the back glass directed to the sides of the aquarium. They have completely relocated much of the sand in the corners creating "dunes" in my sand bed. This actually looks pretty cool. My question is:
Will this have a negative effect on the function of my DSB? There are areas now that are as shallow as 1" (Front corners) and areas as deep as 5". average depth is about 3-4". Has anyone else had this experience?

you still have dsb just not in as much area... i agree this duning can be pretty dynamic and cool as long as you cant see the bottom glass

For a DBS it should be 5in. min. So the areas that are 1in deep will not be acting as a DSB.

i have heard numbers as low as 3" for anaerobic bacteria to accumulate... but 4-6 is the rule of thumb from most experienced dsb users i've read and heard from.
