Seaclone 100 Question?
I have a crappy seaclone 100 and i have done the bioball mod and still i dont get as much skimmate as I think there should be...
what if i change the pump on it....would that make it a better skimmer? i know there are special pumps for other kinds of skimmer (eg. needle, ext.) but the pump that came with it looks just like a regular powerhead....am i the crazy one? and if not ....does anyone know a good source for skimmers with out the pump? im thinkin it would be cheaper to buy.....thanks |

The pump with the seaclone is a maxijet, a good powerhead. Check out the woot thread, its long but a good read. You could get a odyssea 75, odyssea 160 or a typhoon skimmer for all cheap prices. And they are much better than the seaclone. Just depends on your tank size.

where is the woot thread?
and does that mean that a new pump would not make the seaclone better?
