55gal. w/20gal. sump return pump

Just wondering what kind of turn over rate anyone would recommend for a 55 gallon tank with a 20 gallon sump. I have a mag9.5 right now, and I am going to use my Via Aqua 1300 for my CL. I was just thinking that maybe the mag9.5 at 4.5 feet of head might be a little to much flow for my sump. The skimmer is a SS65, and I am afraid that it is just way to much water flowing.

I used a mag 7 on a 55 with great results. The 9.5 had too much flow through the sump I thought. I even got some micro bubbles.
