The Tunze pumps are supposed to be very high quality. If you can afford them, I don't think you'll be unhappy with them.

The streams are awesome. I personally have Nanostreams, but have some reefer buddies with the larger Tunze Streams. Along with the controller they can't be beat. I'll be using 2 6100's and the controller on my 180 I'm gearing up to build. Tunze products are great.

I have a 6100 on my tank and am looking to install a second with a controller.
As Jonathan has said, I don't think you'll be unhappy with them. When considering your purchase, look at customer service, another plus when considering any Tunze product.

I have never owned a tunze, and they are suppose to be high quality. I did order a koralia 4 (1200 gph at 8.5 watts), and it really kicks out a lot of flow and in a wide stream.
I am sure tunze are probably better, but the koralias, no doubt, have awesome powerheads for a lot less $ too.

My 180 has one 6100 on a multicontroller and the 2nd 6100 should be here this week. I can say that the 6100 I have now with the added programs of the new multicontroller are awesome. I had to sve quite a while for this but it is definately worth it.

With a very simple modification, the Tunze 6025/6045 can pump out the same amount of flow as K4 and draws only 7W. I have just discovered that the 6045 has a bigger motor than 6025, can drive a slightly bigger Tunze prop and pump out 1500 gph at 10W, compared to the K4's 1200gph at 12W. More importantly, based on my observations of the new 6055, this Nanostream has the potential to pump out up to 3000 gph and draw only about 30W, even beating the Vortech pump. Whether Tunze will release such a monstrous Nanostream pump may be a wishful thinking though since it will cut into the 6000's sale. |

I love the streams (and the customer service) but I dislike the holder the pump sits on. Though I'm not sure if they have improved on that aspect since last I purchased a tunze. The magnet holders are excellent (just be careful as these are really powerful) and I would highly suggest budgeting for those while considering a tunze purchase.
Good luck!

I want to get 2 Tunze 6055 nano streams when they come out and the controller. Supposed to be high quality.
