i have never seen a full recovery from HLLE, but i have a friend dosing his food with selcon and after a month or so you can see a little improvement, its just gonna take awhile.

It depends on how bad the fish is scared. A slight case can cure itself within a week or two given the proper conditions. However, two months of selcon and other vitimin suppliments given that you have good water quality(?) sounds as if the fish may never fully heal. But the fish can still live a long healthy life it just won't look as pretty

I cured one with feeding it brocolli for about 2 months. It did the trick.

I had a sailfin that was pretty bad. He recovered fully. I fed mostly the Ocean Nutrition Flake and that cleared it up in a couple of months.

Don't give up yet of the full recovery, the only part on my fish that is still scarred is right behind the eye, otherwise perfect!

Selcon did it for me...maybe there's electricity in the tank. Or too much use of carbon??
