what size powerhead for UV
i recently purchased a coralife turbo twist 9 watt for my 75 gal and the guy at LFS recomended an MJ 900 this sounds kinda hokey to me so i am asking here on RC
the way i have it set up is...brackets to UV is screwed to brace under stand horizontally approx 22 inches from bottom of sump and i have the return going back into sump for the larger head to push water back into display, guess the question is flow rate to be best off? |

whats the manual for the coral life say as far as flow rate?

says 100~200GPH
http://www.marineandreef.com/PDF/Cor...TurboTwist.pdf so I would get a 250+GPH powerhead and throttle it down... 100 GPH should kill everything |

well the MJ900 is rated at 230 at 0 up thats why im a little lost

230 at zero head......IMO...would be ok if you just wanted to run it at 150~175 gph flow.....still kill alot....
