50/50 chance, You may buy an Angel and it will not pick at your coral, but the next guy would buy the same species of Angel and it will pick at his. Hit or miss.

My coral beauty has been fine, but I don't have a lot of corals yet. Just shrooms and zoos. I have 4 anemones. It's also fine with it's tankmates.

I've seen my Potter's pick stuff off the corals, but not actually pick at the corals themselves. I watched carefully because I had read so many things about them doing damage to corals, but so far so good. Mine seems to be a lot more interested in hair algae and 'pods.

Not all of them are equal in their tendency to nibble - what kind are you considering?

I agree with ^^^ some are more safe than others. We can help with what kinds are more reef safe than the others. Let us know.

Sounds like a cherub angel - as a group they have a better track record than most of the other dwarf angels - much can depend on the type of corals you have. Sometimes if an angel starts nipping, he may only be interested in one type of coral which you might consider removing instead of the fish. Corals are certainly easier to catch
The name is confusing because the Centropyges are called dwarf or pygmy angels as a group.... then the cherub angel is sometimes also specifically referred to as the pygmy angel. I thought you were asking about dwarf angels in general - sorry for the confusion.

One of these?
I finally got a decent pic of it. I have a mixed reef and have had the fish for about six months and so far, so good, with the corals.
