how long can water sit before going bad?
I mix my water for water changes in a 35 gallon brute trash can and was wondering how long the water can sit before it needs to be dumped out?
I mixed my water for a water change like 1.5 weeks ago and i just havnt had a chance to do the water change...so is this water still ok to use even if its been sitting almost 2 weeks ? I do have 2 power heads moving the water around... Thanks! Chris |

It should be fine. Just aerate it a bit and maybe check the Ph.

As long as it's covered (to prevent contamination and evaporation) and is being circulated, it should last several months.
