Suggest a good emergency battery operated air pump.
I have a OLD Penn Plax battery operated air pump but I'd like to see what's NEW out there. Mine is like 10 years old. It automatically turns on during a power outage.
So what are some suggestions for emergency backup air pumps? |

I keep an old computer UPS charged for emergencies. Then I can plug in any air pump I have handy. I did this back in '04 (after one of the Hurricanes) and the pump ran for 3 days on the UPS (and could of ran longer). This is not automated, but I do not keep an airstone in the tank anyway.

I had a similar D cell powered pump (although the color was gray) during hurricaine George. 2 D cells lasted the 4 days it took to get the power back on. much cheaper than a generator
