Replacement Impeller Shaft
Would there be issues using these stainless steel 316 rods as a replacement for ceramic shafts?
http://www.onlinemetals.com/merchant...owunits=inches These 3/16" rods would be slightly oversized for many powerheads, but they could be sanded slightly to decrease the diameter. The first pump I'd want to replace the rod on currently has a .1454" shaft. Think I'd be better with a 3/16" (.185") or 1/8" (.125) rod?

I would trust it on my tank, but that doesn't mean they won't work.

Well, would this be "so much better"?
http://www.onlinemetals.com/merchant...owunits=inches I'm considering it just to be able to say "My pumps have titanium impeller shafts."
