Talking Proper Water Pump

Im looking to purchase a pump to pump water from a holding tank into my tank. Im starting my tank new, but will need it also for water changes. I assume I can use some of the smaller pumps with some tubing added, but most of you are the experts so any guidence would be appreciated.

Well basically you could use any pump you want. I use an old penguin 660 powerhead with 3/4 tubing. The only problem i have is that I have to submerge the pump in to the water to start the pumping.
