Placing Live Rock In Tank Question?

So Ive decided on going barebottom or SSB with my tank and was wondering if most place there rock directly on the glass bottom (if barebottom) or do you need use starboard.Seems like starboard isn't mentioned anymore?? If I go ssb does the sand or rock go in first?I wish PVC bottoms were offered by more manufacturers, especially here in Canada.

It's totally fine to place the liverock directly on the glass bottom. That's why the bottoms of nearly all tanks are tempered glass. If you are planning on a SSB then you really want the LR that way in case the sand shifts for any reason.

Starboard is one alternative and so is using eggcrate from Lowe's or HD.

Liverock first, then your sand.
