How to Accomplish this?

the grass looking thing in the back of the glass



what type of coral is it? HOW TO ACCOMPLISH THIS?

not sure what it is, but i have seen it in many of the display tanks at my LFS...honestly i think it looks cool, and it looks like it would be doing a nice job of filtering water. but then again i have no clue...but the LFS has it so i'm assuming it's good.

green star polyps, it grows on anything its near, put a piece near glass and ur glass will be covered eventually.

alternatively, if u get frags that are not attached, just use some crazy glue gel and glue it to the glass

They are polyps, you could scrape off, and atach to a rock, or just leave it, but watch out it may start to spread into viewing areas.

Mine grow well over an inch a month... Some are considering them on their "annoyance" list... like aiptasia. They do "win" the war for space, and can smother other corals. Green star Polyps... some like them, some hate them.

I have zoanthids on one end of my tanks back wall and zenia on the other.

Make sure your rocks are set away from the wall to help keep them from spreading over the wrong things.
