leaking!

Some how water is getting out of my tank and I need to find out how. I have a coralife SS65 and an ac70 converted to a fuge. I lost about 2 gallons onto the floor behind my tank and I am not sure how. I think think any thing is leaking IE the skimmer but I guess I can't be sure? sort of moving the tank into a 46G what are my options? I got the 46G used and it held freshwater only just find but my guess is that it's probably 7-8 years old and I would hate to have a major system colapse.

Turn everything off that transfers water from the display tank to the fuge or to anywhere else outside the display tank. Allow everything to drain to the level it goes to when power is off. Now take a dry-erase marker and draw a line on the outside of your tank, at the water mark. It helps if this line is about 12" or so long. Now wait about 20 minutes and check the line. If the water line hasn't changed, then the tank itself isn't leaking. This is Good!! LOL. Now, you can narrow it down to something outside the tank. Start by checking all your plumbing connections and making sure that no hoses are cracked or loose. You should also draw a line on the fuge to check it for leaks. If you still haven't found your problem, turn your pumps back on 1 at a time. Wait a few minutes and check for leaks. Hope this helps you narrow down your problem. I recently went through this with a 75 and lost about 20 gallons of water all over my floor. Mine ended up being a silicone leak in the tank itself...Grrr.

I have a coralife Super Skimmer and it should be called "Super Leaker". Ok, it actually works good, but when you screw the collection cup back on you need to make sure the o-ring is in place, doesn't have any salt or anything else on it's surface and the collection cup is screwed on *tightly*. I've had at least 8+ leaks, usually small drips come out of the collection cup/ o-ring fitting.
I put a strip of shower curtain on the floor under it and layed some towels on top so when the next leak happens the floor won't be damaged.
Also- the guy I bought the skimmer from had a wood floor and the wood underneath the skimmer was seriously water damaged. Good thing he was only a renter.

toped off last night and there doesn't seem to be a change to drasticly to the water level so I am voting for a REALLY slow leak or a leak from my skimmer. I am going to watch it today and see how much I loose with my skimmer off.
