refugium wattage

so I bought some chaeto but do not have a light for might refugium yet, so the chaeto is in a little plastic carrier inside the tank for now. will a "little clip on the tank light" be enough for the chaeto or how many watts will it need. the refugium is little but functional.

Nine to 18 watts will do the trick.

Just the uber bright light, and nitrates were at 25
That's all it takes; well and then add some flow over the cheato.

Home Depot and lowes carry the lights of america line. I think the bulbs are rated 6500k, say it somewhere on the box. Many people have had great success with these bulbs/fixtures. They come from 8w to 1000w(equiv).

I have an AGA 55w PC over my 15g refugium. I get great growth. You dont need that much lighting though. I had that extra light fixture just sitting around. So I went with that.
