question about a foxface Siganus vulpinus

I have a 125Gallon tank and Im feeding my Foxface Siganus vulpinus Mysis shrimp. I bought him last week and the only thing he eats is the live seaweed I put in. Also I added a yellow tang and hes not eating much either. They hide in the rocks when I get close to the tank and dont eat. Is there anything I can do or feed them?

Mine loves Nori (Japanese Seaweed), I buy it at the local Oriental store in a big package and put a 2x2 square in a lettuce clip and he eats it up...

It is the same stuff they wrap Sushi in.. You can get it at your LFS, but you will pay alot more. Just ask the people at the Oriental store for Sushi wrap (Seaweed). Comes in a flat pack and is dry. All my fish seem to enjoy it.. Is your Foxface picking algae off rocks??

Mine turns colors alot... I think it was about a week before he was really comfortable?? Now you can't do anything in the tank without him wanting to see what is in your hand!! And this a little scary sometimes because he is venomous.. He got me once in the wrist on accident, hurts and swells pretty bad!! But he is probably my favorite fish.

Thanks for your help. I hope he gets comfortable soon. He likes to hide.

Mine started off very shy and it took him a few weeks to adjust. Now it's curious about everything. kb0vhy, I feel your fear!! I worry about mine accidentally poking me. It's bad enough that my female GSM is mean as heck and attacks my hand if I get too close to her RBTA.

I feed my Foxface and Yellow Tang Grape Caluerpa. I grow it in a separate 10 gallon tank and rubber band a bunch of it to a piece of rock in each tank. In a couple days, it's all gone.
