Chiller Help

ok so just recently got a chiller an arctica 1/10 hp . im not sure on how to use the thing. its all set up and running but the temperatures seem wrong. i have my heater set up at 78-79 degrees, the chillers is set at 78. the temp on the chiller reads between 77.8-78.2 but my coralife thermometer that hangs in the water reads a constant 74.4-74,7. is my thermometer off or the temp on my chiller?? please help

My coralife therm also runs about 2* low.

As for the chiller Q... The thermostats in heaters are so cheap, I hate to rely on them, espically since your hooking up a chiller, you don't want them both to turn on at the same time for sure.

So, Id get a Ranco temprature controller, one that controls 2 items, one for the heater, and one for the chiller, this way the thermostat would be the same for the chiller and heater, and it would never let both run at the same time.

Good luck!
