I think it's a pincurshion but not sure. Purple Sea Urchin
maybe? It hide 24h in the rock.

This particular urchin (Echinometra) is not reef safe. I used to have one years ago, it destroys corals and will leave trails of bare rock through your coralline growth. A definate reef destroyer. TinMan
