is this a sign of ich?
i have a fish that looks at the sand then he will wiggle then it will look like he is rubbing on the sand. only way i can explain it really. but it's onlee on one side of his eye. he doesn't scratch on rocks or anything. just the sand.

depending on the fish in question, he may be feeding on microfauna in the sandbed, or rubbing himself on the sand because of an irritation, such as ich. Is he showing any physical signs that would cause concern? white cysts devloping over the entire body? fungas forming? anything that looks like an infection? anything "wierd".?

Your angel may have had a runin with a bristleworm, harmless, but it's temporary a nuisance to the fish. Or could have scratched the eye, or have something stuck to its surface: just watch the fish and that eye and gill area in particular.
