Rowaphos and Phosban. The key is to go slow and not try to remove all phosphates now...

I've used Rowaphos and I find it very effective. I recommend that you use it in a reactor. They make the most efficient use of that kind of medium.

Phosphates may come from frozen foods if you don't rinse it. If you have SPS corals, they will brown out fast on you most likely and possible slow growth.
I am going to set up a phosban reactor soon.

Since phosphate is an accumulation issue ... you should alway try and minimize introducing phosphates into your tank .. that often means being selective on what food you put into the tank (many will stay away from flake food because its often loaded with phosphates) and many will rinse frozen food to help remove phosphate and excess nutrients. Hope this helps. |

With GFO's ie. Rowaphos and Phosban etc. If you have clams read up on this stuff. It is known to contribute to PM.
Run carbon with it if you must it. it will help. Here is some info on it from clamsdirect. RC clam forums too. http://www.clamsdirect.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=2 |

Yes you can run carbon in a FOWLR, i use Matrix carbon, and use Kent Phosban for phosphate removal.
