Moving 150 gallon
OK I am moving a 150 gallon FOWLR set up about 4 hours away. The tank is a FOWLR and only houses a Picasso Trigger and a Yellow Tang. I kept it simple since I knew I was moving. I want to know the best way to move this set up without causing a cycle and allowing me to keep my fish. I have added biomax to 55 gallon sump so it can develop some biobacteria so it can help me after the move. Once I'm settled into my new place I will remove it slowly. I am moving in August so I am giving the bio max time to grow. I have 150 lbs of live rock and I want to make sure it will not all die on me and need to re cycle. What is the best way of going about this????
Aslong as I keep the live rock underwater from the tank the whole time then it should be fine correct??? Can't a add new saltwater mix when I get there because if the rock is cycled then isn't the tank???? Thats how I always understood it??? Plus I would leave the sand bed in the tank and leave just about 1 inch of water in the tank so the bed stays wet. This may be heavy but it will be a must.

1st off.. leaving any sand and or water in the tank could be disastrous.. don't do it.. the weight consideration for your back is'nt the issue here.. the water sloshing around and uneven weight distribution could and will stress the seams of the glass, potentially ruining the tank.
