microalgae
Hi ,,,,,
today i buy live rock fr my new 80g tank , and the live rock its covered with microalgae and i hate microalgae how can i cure the live rock and remove all the microalgae ? |

One of the easiest methods for ridding your live rock of algae is to place it in a dark/covered container of salt water. Remember that algae is a plant and w/o light it will die off - the darkness should not harm the normal critters associated with live rock. Many would argue that you should periodically switch/change the salt water when you do this process to help remove the phosphates that are built up within the algae.

A powerhead and maybe a heater wouldnt hurt either, especially if you're doing lots of rock at once.
