Hitchiker ID (Pics :))
Just wondering what the orange thingy is(Located in the bottom left corner) ? Also, what is the other coral looking thing? I think it is dead. When the orange thing is touched it is hardish and it will close its little poylp things.

It has been alive for about a week now (the sponge), does anyone know if it will stay alive or if it will die?

i have read on here multiple times in other posts that if you have sponges growing in your tank that it's a good sign of good water.

those are Foraminiferans AKA Forams. they are harmless filter feeders. yours look like Homotrema sp. AKA Red Forams.
