what is this spot on my leather coral?
last couple of days this leather coral hasn't looked the best. when I got it, it had a couple of these spots. they haven't grown or multiplied. not even sure if its related to the issue of not looking good lately, but curious to what they are. Any idea?

looks like where the skin had a hard time slothing off during a shed and it 'choked' out the tissue, keep the flow up so it can sloth off new sheds and they usually heal up pretty quickly with each successive shedding.

great. thanks for the info. Is that a common thing with leathers? none of the ones i've kept in the past have ever had something like that happen before.

yeah, it looks like a little dead spot. keep an eye on it. It should go away. if it is spreading cut that branch off with sharp scissors and toss it. those lobos look pretty good overall.

polyps are now back out like normal, but the spots are still there. I moved some pumps around a bit to increase the flow a tad towards the leather to see if it will help anything.

the next few sheds should clear it up as long as no more of the slothing gets stuck, the increased flow should take care of that.
