Reef tank ?
This is my first reef tank Hi, I wondering if anyone keeps there lights running 24-7 if so what is the preferred time for moon White Lunar Light and the compact light. Right now I have them running 12 hours compact light and 12 hours moon lunar. Also should both fans run 24 hours or should I put them on the same timer as my compact and lunar light?
My tank 46 gal bow front 1. (1) Feather Dusters 2. 16lb Fiji Live Rock s 3. (2) Pink Tip Haitian Anemone 4. (1) Brain Coral |

the use of fans is mainly to keep your water temperature somewhat stable and to keep the heat of your lights off of your water. I don't see it necessary to use the fan with the lunar lights. the lunar lights shouldn't be more than an LED light which puts out no heat. anything bigger than an LED light and I wouldn't call it a lunar light and I wouldn't run it for a "moon cycle"

I run my PCs for 12 hours, my MH for 8 hours and my moolight leds for 24/7. The daylight period at the equator is 12 hours long.

murfman has the right ideas, I run mine about 10hours a day, but also give more lighting than neccessary during those 10hrs.
being your first reef tank, may wanna research some more information on that condi anemone you got there, not always the best choice of anemone's and definatly not something that should be added before the tank has had plenty of maturation time.
