Viper Clamp Lamp...

Does anybody have experience with this lamp? I am probably going to order the 70watt tomorrow unless somebody finds me a better option in the price range. The reason i'm only doing the 70 watt is because I am going to use this in accordance with 96 watts of quad t-5. I'd really like to use the $50 saved from not buying the 150watt to buy a refractometer.

Thanks in advance guys!

I do not have personal experience with this light, however, I can say that I have seen numerous questions and comments regarding it being of poor quality. You could perhaps check in the lighting forum for more personal experiences. Also might check the nano forum as well.

Does it have to be clamp on? Because I bought a retro kit from illuming.com that I really like.

I already checked the lighting forum, and no reply.

It does not have to be clamp on, but it needs to be in the $150 price range.

70w MH, free shipping, $140. I have the 150w version and am very happy with it.

Between the two of those, I would choose the viper based on the compatibility of my system.

Thank you VERY much for your help!

Well, I read about 200 reviews on the net. Out of the 200, there were only 7 bad reviews, and most was because they were using a single bulb on a long tank. They were complaining about the light not illuminating the whole tank.....

I'm sold. Looks like i'll be ordering the 70w tomorrow. Thanks for your help everybody!

Just a few I found on a short search. Just FYI, doesn't affect me if you get one or not. Good luck...
