Goin' Fishin' in my 50g Cube

I am not really going fishing in my tank...yet. I need to get a diamond goby out of my tank and do not feel like messing around trying to catch it for hours on end so does anyone have any tips/techniques for catching this fish???

You could try one of those pre-made traps, but I doubt will would work for a d. goby.

Sorry for off topic, but why are you trying to get him out?

He is very territorial of the whole bottom of the tank. Every time my clowns go to check out my nem he chases them to the top of my tank. I also want to get a Pearly Jawfish. You want him???

A size 22 or 24 barbless hook baited with mysids. Use the thinest line you can get. The line probably won't matter to much though. Use a piece of rock for a weight to get it to him fast before the other fish can get at it.

Yea, I am looking for a sand sifter, but not if he's aggressive. I have clowns hosting in my plate coral and fear he might do the same in my tank, esp. since mine is only a 29 to boot...

if you introduce him last I dont think it will be a problem, if your clowns are hosting something already then they are going to be aggressive to protect it.

I would like to see if there is a nonviolent way to catch the fish before i resort to a hook and shrimp.

I borrowed a fishtrap from my LFS and the diamond goby was the first to go into it. It took awhile. Don't feel the fish for about 2 days before you introduce the trap.
