29G help with plumbing

Well this time I descided to set up a DOWLR Bare Bottom, since they're always active and fun to watch plus very pretty and affordable fishes. So I painted the bottom black 3 days ago and put it on the stand today.

My main mean of filtration is going to be biological.
50LBS of LR in the total system
8"DSB
Cheato and other macros
I will have a1/2lbs carbon pouch.
coralife superskimmer 60

Here's a sketch on how I want the filtration to be

I would split your over flow in half. One going into the DSB and one going into the begining of the sump. If they water is running through your DSB and fug to fast their not going to be able to do their job efficiently. Also make sure youe return area is big. That is where you will see all of your evaporation.

Ok hmmmn so I should T off the overflow drain one going to the DSB and the other heading towards the sump/fuge area.

With the DSB having an external pump with very low flow. Would I need another return pump or can I use a mj1200 to get that low flow.

And on the Ehiem1048 I increase the area it is in.

If you split the overflow, you could just control the flow with a ball valve and gravity feed the DSB into your sump (ball valve before and after DSB). Ihave something similar from my refugium (however this is fed from the return line and the flow goes back into the return area).

Here's a pic:

The water enters the fuge from the return (the "T" above the pump feeds water to the display tank (left) and the fuge (right). The flow to the fuge is slow and controlled by the ball valve just after the "T").

The water enters the sump on the left in the skimmer compartment, then flows over and under and over the baffles into the return.

Would it be a bad idea to have the fuge fed from the overflow from the tank?
