Japan planting coral to expand territorial claim

This is an interesting news artical, apparently Japan is trying to expand its claim to a area of sea to its south by planting coral colonies to expand the size of a "rocky outcrop". This allows them to claim them as islands and exploit the area around 250km around them for economic purposes....
