Underwater Reef Hotel...

http://www.poseidonresorts.com

Looks cool, worth $15000 per person for a week...I doubt it, but still a nice view.

if you click on The Resort, Undersea Suites and read through that..."Fish will glady interact when they are fed with the push of a button from your control consule..."

ugh, i can just imagine some unknowing rich guest with an itchy trigger finger.

seems like a nice idea...but i dunno...

you guys are not reading everything!!! They say on the website that there is only going to be a certain amount of food per day so as not to polute the reef. although i doubt it would cause much damage in the ocean.
also it isnt built yet!!!! they are still getting permits and clearing the island...
honeymoon? it'd be cool to be underwater lol

As soon as they have a price drop to be competitive with Motel 6, I'm totally there! I dont really like the idea that the fish can watch me in the hot tub though... I'm kind of shy.

I'd like to see how they can construct that without damaging the nearby reefs.

The theory is awesome, very futuristic ala James Bond, but the reality is usually less than ideal.

Guys, there's no actual footage because the damn thing isn't even done yet! They are pretty clever about getting the marketing out before it's even done...never even saying anywhere on the website "COMING SOON"! The only way I know is I see they will start "booking guests in early 2009". So it wont even be done for another 2 years...
I bet the reef outside won't even look that good....
And I am sure the feeders will be state of the art, where you can only press the button so many times in a certain time period. I.E. only release a pre-programmed amount of food.

Because the room pods are assembled elsewear and sunk into place. Same with the unit that connects them all. Im sure there would be some damage as the anchor it all down but wouldnt be that much.

They do have some photos of the island resorts being built.
