lord acan

I was in the LFS the other day and saw a red and I forget what other color (maybe greenish) lord acan. It had about 4-5 heads/polyps and they were selling it for 299.00. This was the only coral priced so high in the store and it just doesn't sound right to me. What do you think?

They're a "hot" coral right now, so the prices are up there. Do a google search on them, and see what some of the online aquarium stores are asking for them!

Ya, they are no longer the craze, but still 4-5 polyps of an acan lord probably should catch atleast $100 if they're nice. $300, I don't think so...

Dude, where are you looking? Down from what? I still see $100+ for a few polyps, and that leads me to believe that this is still a hot item. Or maybe my version of "acceptable" price is different?

try to find local reefers around you that are growing them. i picked up an aussie acan lord, very rare, 10 polyps for 100 bucks. the kid paid 95 bucks a polyp but since he grows them hes sells them for cheap. i also picked up 10 polyps of indo acan lords for 60 bucks. so if i were you i'd look around.
