Slight ozone odor should be normal. What kind of Ozonizer and how many mg/l are you running?

50 mg/l can not hurt anything. You and your tank will be fine. It is best to administer your Ozone through a skimmer though.

I have an ozone reactor as I dont think my skimmer would last with ozone injected into it.

Karlmarx, what type of Ozone reactor do you have? I just got the MTC Pro Ozone reactor comes with Carbon air filter, subtrates filter and the reactor chamber. According to MTC you are not suppose to smell anything if you have all the proper equipment

To me, ozone has a very strong bleach odor.

Ozone does have an odor- some people say like bleach, to me it smells like air just before a heavy rain- a fresh clean smell. If you've ever been to seaworld or such, go by a marine mammal tank and you'll definitely smell it- they flood ozone into the water for them (ORP near 600!).

At any rate, if you smell ozone, I would act- ozone can cause serious health problems for you, including cataracts.
