Cycle almost complete?
I started cycling my 55 gallon tank on June 6th by adding a couple of dead shrimp and then just over a week later I added 50 lbs of live rock. Is my cycle almost complete? Heres what I have in terms of readings today.
specific gravity 1.025 temperature 78.6 ammonia 0 Nitrites 2.0 (could be more colors on tester very similar) Nitrates 20 or 40 (also difficult to tell due to colors test uses are similar) I did not test yet for ph or anything else because not important at this point...right? |

looks like your cycle is close, just wait a little longer.

Once your nitrites are zero, I have heard it takes longer for nitrate processing bacteria to develop...be patient, they should drop!
