Lace Rock
Hello, I was wondering can Lace Rock be used for Base rock? This would be for a new tank, I plan on buying LR for this tank also. If it can be used what needs to be done to it first before it is placed in the tank? Thank you

As I recall Lace rock is the same as other lava rock except it has nicer formations because it came from the top of the volano cinder cone and was exposed to more air often giving it great structure.
Many people are reluctant to put lava in reef tanks because of the unknown mineral content of the rock .. I assume that would apply to lace rock as well. |
