cleaning coralline from acrylic?

What are the safest ways of cleaning the acrylic? I recently switched from a glass tank to acrylic. I would love to hear what scrapers are acrylic safe. Thanks in advance.

But the coralline algae is porous correct. Wouldn't that scratch the acrylic as you grind over it? I have a magnet scraper and tried to clean a spot and looked as if it was causing scratches. If I am being paranoid just let me know but I would rather not ruin my tank.

Sorry the coralline algae would be gritty not porous. Like sand paper.

An LFS here has found that a type of kitchen cleaning sponge works best to scrape off diatoms/coralline. It's basically just a yellow sponge wrapped in this slighty rough white mesh. They come in a pack of 3 or 4 and cost $3 at Vons (Safeway). I haven't found them to produce scratches, however, scratching acrylic is inevitable. I will post a pic of one if anybody is interested.

As long as you stay with something plastic, you should be fine!
