LR on top of egg crate

I'm thinking about putting the live rock on top of egg crate in the tank then putting in the sand. This way the rock will not be directly on the glass bottom and it will be easier to aquascape as it will help in holding the rock in place. Also, there would potentially be more flow under the rocks and less of a chance for a burroing fish to shift the rocks. How does this idea sound? Thank you in advance for the feedback.

That's what I'm planning to do. Some people have claimed it will make excess Nitrates, but there doesn't seem to be a consensus on that.

Yes, I've heard some people say there wouldn't be enough flow, but that far deep in the sand bed, there is no movement anyway (except for the worms and pods).

Looks no problem. Some people usePVC pipe and make bridge for rocks. But ifyou just worry about glass add sand and put rock on the sand.
